During your time at Milton Keynes College you will be asked to research information for a variety of projects and assignments to find out more about a topic. Your induction project is one of them, and a good one to start honing those skills.

Before carrying out your research, you will need to consider the purpose. Think about what is it that you want to find out?. You will then have to consider where to find the relevant information. Your sources of information will include online sources, books and journals, interviews with experts, amongst others.

Having so many sources of information can be overwhelming and not all the information you find will be trustworthy. Here we are going to cover some techniques to help you make your research more effective.
